Garage doors in Richardson →How Each Area Differs
Highland Park, University Park, Addison and Richardson are separate municipalities with their own city halls, while Preston Hollow, North Dallas and Lake Highlands are neighborhoods inside the City of Dallas. If a new door or a structural change needs a permit, the rules come from whichever city the address belongs to.
The houses change too: alley-entry garages in the Park Cities, wide custom doors on Preston Hollow estates, townhome rows in Addison and mid-century ranch houses in Richardson. Each area page covers what we see on those streets and the services booked most there. If your street is not listed, ask us and we will tell you right away whether we cover it.
